PHOTOSYNTHESIS

Plants make their own food.
The process by which plants make food is called "photosynthesis".
Plants take in carbon dioxide CO2 from the air and water and dissolved minerals from the soil; put them together, in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll, to produce glucose and oxygen O2.

VERTEBRATE GROUPS

• Mammals: baby mammals drink their mother´s milk.
• Birds: using their wings, most birds can fly.
• Reptiles: their body is covered with hard scales.
• Fish: fish live in water.
• Amphibians: They can live on land or in water.

INVERTEBRATE GROUPS

• Sponges:They filter seawater and retain nutritive substances for food.
• Cnidarians: by example: coral,anemones and medusas.
• Worms: many are parasites. By example: earthworm.
• Echinoderms: are symmetrical. By example: starfish.
• Arthropods: are covered by a hard exoskeleton. By example: beetle.
• Molluscs: many are covered by one or two shells. By example: clam

MONDRIAN, DALÍ, KANDINSKY, PICASSO...En nuestra Semana Cultural aprenderás muchas cosas sobre EL ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO, entonces sabrás quién es cada uno.

Mondrian, Dali, Kandinsky, Picasso...In our Cultural Week you are going to learn many things about Contemporary Art, then you'll know who everyone is.

Carnaval en el Benito. Reporteros:Laura,Sandra y Sergio C.

El carnaval es una tradición en nuestro colegio: Benito Pérez Galdós. Los niños y niñas de sexto de primaria hacen un baile y se ponen disfraces, luego se sale al patio para tomar churros y chocolate. También ponen canciones y los niños bailan y se divierten.

Este curso también hicimos una obra de teatro llamada “Misericordia” (6º A), le gustó a todo el mundo. Este año han cambiado las actuaciones por ser el 25 aniversario de nuestro colegio.

Los de 6º B, después de que terminara nuestra obra empezaron a bailar. Este año 6º A y 6º B bailaron juntos. Los de 6º A bailaron la canción de “El ritmo vuelta”y también bailaron con antifaces.

Luego en las clases, hicimos una fiesta donde bailamos y comimos. Cuando tocó la sirena nos despedimos hasta por la tarde ,que fuimos todos disfrazados.

Por la tarde, las madres y padres del A.M.P.A, a las 4:30, dieron chocolate con churros y muchas niñas y niños vinieron disfrazados como quisieron. Nos lo pasamos todos genial.

CARNIVAL IN OUR SCHOOL/Reporters: Laura, Sandra and Sergio C.

Carnival is a tradition in our school: Benito Pérez Galdós. Boys and girls from sixth to make a dance and wearing costumes, then we go into the yard to eat churros and chocolate. Also they take songs and the children dance and have fun.

This course also did a play called "Misericordia"(6ºA), It liked everybody. This year has changed the activities because is the 25th anniversary of our school.

Pupils of 6ºB, after the conclusion of our play, began to dance. This year,the classes of 6ºA and 6º B danced together.Students of 6º A danced the song "The return rate" and also danced with masks.

Then, in class, we did a party where we danced and ate. When the siren rang we said goodbye until the afternoon, then we were all in costume.

In the afternoon, mothers and fathers of AMPA, at 4:30, gave hot chocolate with churros and many children came disguised as they wanted . We had all great.
